Neighbourhood house Lagarde II

A dementia centre and medical valley centre with a multi-storey underground car park was built on the Lagarde Campus at Berliner Ring 2 in Bamberg. Due to the geometric and geological situation, a watertight, closed excavation pit shoring and a deep foundation for the building were required for the construction of the excavation pit.

The shoring was planned and executed as a single back-anchored sealed sheet pile wall box with a shoring area of 4227m². The back-anchoring of the sheet pile box was designed with 2877m’ temporary strand anchors (180 pieces).
To ensure the buoyancy safety of the building, 641 permanent micropiles with a total length of 5545 metres were installed under the base plate.
